License to Fish

There are two main species of the salmon: King salmon (also known as Chinook) and Silver salmon (also known as Coho). Only on even numbered years are you likely to find the Pink salmon. To fish any other specie of the salmon apart from King, all you need is a one-day license. To fish King salmon, you will be made to purchase a king stamp.
